Updates
This is my site Written by Joseph on March 9, 2010 – 12:47 am

I have a few updates here that are overdue for being posted so hopefully better late than never. First and most important, I reached the 125 signature requirement and as such was certified to run and be listed on the ballot for Tuesday, May 4th. I would like to thank everyone that helped me collect signatures. Between the snow, wind and it just being very cold, collecting signatures to get my name on the ballot was very difficult. Without the assistance of several people, I do not know if we would have made it. So again Thank You for your support!!

In other news, both The Southwest Times and The Pulaski County Patriot ran articles on the new candidates in the area which of course included me. The article for The Southwest Times ran on Thursday, March 4th and it can be read online here. The Pulaski Patriot posts there whole paper online which can be found here. You will need to go to page 2 to read the article. I would like to thank both papers for running such nice articles. For the last new update, I have also created a Facebook page, where you can follow my updates and find others who support me in my run for Town Council. Feel free to check it out at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Joseph-Goodman/323544364626

Lastly, I would like to point out that it does look like the Town is going to start moving forward with addressing blight in our community. I believe that addressing blight in Pulaski is a fundamental necessity to help restore our Town’s public image. As you may recall the Pulaski Redevelopment and Housing Authority, of which I am a member, requested that a Blight Task Force be created at an earlier council meeting. At this past meeting, the Town Manager, John Hawley, put forward the creation of a Blight Team whose first organizational meeting will take place tomorrow. I have been invited to attend and hope to do so either in person or by phone conference. It is my hope that this first meeting will be the first of many steps that setup the organizational infrastructure to make the team a success for our community.
